I've listened to the footprints poem
a million times or more
of how when only one set shows
upon the sandy shore
it's the lord carrying us
and taking on our load
and his are the only set
of footprints that showed
But what if when we look
there are no footprints to be found?
all we see is plain and simple
sand upon the ground
no imprints showing that our lord
is carrying us through life
helping us when we feel
we can not handle all this strife
Where is my lord now that i've fallen
and can't seem to get back up?
so tired and lonely
trying to deal with what seems
an overflowing cup
where are those footprints
in the sand
to tell me he's right there?
helping me with problems
and showing that he really does care
Does he have favourites, OH NO
please tell me that's not so
but why does life seem easier
for some people that I know?
and sometimes I just scream out loud
although it seems in vain
but often gets harder each day
to deal with all this pain
And then it dawned on me
as I realize how simple could it be
I wonder why I was so blind
that I truly did not see
it must have been a lightening bolt
that one day gave me light
because out of the clear blue sky
I finally regained my sight
I saw a fluffy white cloud
shaped like an angel dear
that helped me to understand
and see things oh so clear
that when I saw no footprints
and so often wondered why
my lord carried me on angel wings
when he decided to fly

RIP DANNY
One night I cried to Jesus
As I sat beneath the tree;
I looked into the open sky
And hoped He'd answer me.
'I'm lost dear Lord ...
I've traveled far but still I seem to roam;
Please light the way and lead me, Lord,
I need to get back home.'
I told him of my burdens
And of the sadness in my heart;
That from His gracious love
I'd never felt so far apart.
'Why did you take my child, Lord?
I cannot understand!
No longer can I touch his face
Or hold his tiny hand.'
'I'm angry, Lord ... I'm missing him,
I'm drowning in my sorrow;
Please help to heal my yesterday
And face each new tomorrow.'
It was then I heard his gentle voice
And felt his presence near;
How I wanted so to hold him
As I cried another tear.
he said 'Mommy, I'm an angel now,
My spirit will be free;
I'm an angel now in heaven,
So please don't cry for me.'
'I was chosen by our Lord above
And now I'm in His care;
Whenever you need me,
Just look inside your heart; I promise I'll there.'
'No one can ever take away
Our bond with one another;
For I'll always be your precious child,
As you will always be my mother.'
'So if you cannot find your way
Or the road to home seems far;
Just look up to the Heavens
And I'll be your guiding star.'
he said, 'Mommy, I'm an angel now,
My spirit will be free;
I'm an angel now in Heaven ...
There's no need to cry for me.'
I was Tinas best friend when we were kids and I used to visit my granny in Jamica street. i remember the day when Danny was shot, Tina came to get me and took to her house to see Danny's coffin...Its was so sad that a young lads life was taken in such a shameful way and even though I've lost touch with Tina I still think about Danny from time to time.

he was murdered!
danny was my cousin an to be honest i was to young to remember him, but wat i do remember is the heartache my aunt, uncle, cousins have been going through all these years without danny and no he was not in the wrong place at the wrong time, he was sitting at own front with his daddy (r.i.p) and friends, noone is saying all british army r murderers but danny was murdered by a british solider. god bless danny.

Never got to know you Danny but i do know that you are missed so much by family and friends even after all these years. You must have had a good heart as you left your mark on so many people. Heaven must be blooming in your part with your da you and wee danny together. Take care and give our nephew a big hug and kiss from me.
